Nitriding is a heat treatment process in which nitrogen atoms are infiltrated into the workpiece surface in a certain medium and temperature. Gas nitriding is to put the workpiece into a sealed container and heat it with flowing ammonia. After a long time to heat preservation，ammonia thermal decomposition produces active nitrogen atoms，which are continuously adsorbed to the workpiece surface and diffused into the workpiece surface，thus changing the chemical composition and structure of the surface layer and obtaining excellent surface performance.
After nitriding，products can get high surface hardness，wear resistance，fatigue strength，anti-occlusion，anti-atmospheric and superheated steam corrosion，anti-tempering softening ability and notch sensitivity.
